Hi peeps!!
I have an exciting announcement to make! This is something that the elders and staff have been prayerfully and strategically thinking through for a while now.
Drum roll please Wilmer.... (drum roooooooolllll).....
Starting NOVEMBER 1ST we will be moving to two service times, which are 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. This is the perfect time to do it as that is also daylight savings time.. FALL BACKWARDS.
Now.. I know what you are thinking... however... I feel the need to explain the reasons why this is so exciting:
First, we are extending each service by 15 minutes which will allow more time for creative elements, less rushed communion meditations, and a little more time for teaching.
Second, we will have extra time between services. So, for those of you who have children to move from point A to point B, you no longer have to rush. It also allows extra time for the parking flow and childrens wing drop off / pick up. For those of you who do not have kids, might I encourage you to step out of our comfortable green room and just talk a walk through the atrium to simply "visit" with a friend and/or greet a first time visitor. It would be great for everyone to see that we are approachable. ;o)
Third, it is better stewardship. We will not be running our projectors, lights, AC, etc as long. Therefore, causing less wear and tear.
Fourth, call time will be a little later. Can I get a "whoop whoop"!?! :o) Exciting! CALL TIME WILL BE 8:00 A.M. BEGINNING NOV. 1ST!!!! It will remain 7:15 for the next few weeks. Also, our CT is at 8:00 a.m... which really means that you should plan on arriving at the church at 7:45 or 7:50 so you can be on stage and ready to go by 8:00 a.m.! (Remember.. this time doesn't start till when??? Yup.. NOVEMBER 1st!!
Listen, November 1st the feel of each gathering is going to change. Because there are more people, the energy in a sense will be at a higher level. However, I feel the need to tell you all that this does NOT change our purpose... which is to be sensitive to the Spirits prompting so we can help lead others in worship. It is extremely important that each of you are spending your own time with God and come prepared on Sunday. Come with your mind set on God and you heart filled with his Spirit! If we can all get to the point of making that happen every week... God will know that we are seeking Him and he will show up!!
Thank you all for your continued dedication to this ministry! I know that many of you are putting in extra time! Please keep praying that God will send us great God fearing people with a heart to serve through music!
For those who have children in the kids ministry... I have outlined the schedule below.
Love you all! See you Sunday.
